iChat ! :-D

due to the scroll nature of the iChat window, I think you must use a image that 'fits' it.

So, if you can post a link, or the image itself, do it please

Yeah, I'm wondering that too, otherwise there wouldn't be any idea of making a pattern or texture for it...

uhm yes, my iChat chat windows uses always that background pattern.

I think I did it with the menu. View/Chat Background/ the names of the menus are maybe different as Im not using the english version.

Thank you for that extremely helpful post. I think I am going to head over to every single PC forum and just post... "Sorry, but I don't use Windows."

I have always found the images just screw things up no matter how light and blending I try to make them. I gave up after 5 minutes so I would be interested to see screenshots of anyone who has it right.

Adium has you...

Seriously though, Im sorry, but the WebKit view is sooo much better than anything iChat can come up with. I might go to Proteus 4 however because it will support away messages in the contact list la iChat.

If I were to use iChat, I probably wouldnt even have a background.

If I were to have a background in iChat, I would use something with a smooth gradient. Maybe a bluish color...

Download one of the newest builds, go to get info for Adium and uncheck the standard message view plug in. Then...pretty.

Exactly, that is the point. The image must be so good to be used as background, that is the challenge, let us think about that...
