Yes, but the Neon doesn't EXCITE (in a strictly non-sexual way of course) the way the Porsche does. I don't care if the numbers stack up better for the Neon, or it's better value. It bores me.

Then you haven't driven one. It's as simple as that. If you've driven a 5spd NON RENTAL neon, you appreciate its handling and its bang for the buck. If you haven't driven one, then you either read consumer reports or listen to people who do and pretend to know about the cars without even ****ing driving one and then bitch about them on a mac forum where at least 2 people know quite a bit about more them than you do and look really stupid.

It's that simple.

That is subjective.

BMW have so missed the boat - they've relied too long on the 3 and 5 series and no just play catch up to Mercedes. Ever seen a recent Merc catalogue? Half the models are coupes or convertibles - BMW realised this and rushed out the 6 series but they have a lot of catching up to do.

B-t-w - the 7 series would have to be the ugliest car on the street and the iDrive the most inefficient interface since W95

I'm still on the fence about the 7's design, but the iDrive - well, it's running Windows CE (aka "Wince"); what do you expect!?

My favorite BMW is the Mini... Plain and simple!

And what is up with BMW SUVs? I don't have anything against SUVs, but I'm beginning to think that all SUVs are the same car. For example:

Looks alot like

Which closely resembles this

Which is pretty much the same car as this

I think that producing an SUV really dilutes the purity of the classic BMW design.

Those actually are the same car. Cayenne and Toureg run on the same platform - joint effort by Porsche and VW.

(but how you've actually worded the link you probably knew this)
