My Way News - Crowd Kills Man After Car Hits Child

How is this not in the news? Usually when a mob kills someone it's big news.

This is bizarre. They killed the passenger, not the driver, and from the sounds of things the child was injured, not killed.

It was on MSNBC or CNN's web site this morning. Why did you term this a race riot?

I was just thinking that. Obviously I didn't scrutinize the title too well.

I have to ask as well; how did you turn this into a race riot? Sounds more like emotional mob over response to me.
Why is there always money for war, but none for education?

I'm wondering if the term illegal immigrants will enter this thread at some point.

Once the term enters, it never leaves and multiplies like crazy. It also tends to take away the low post count threads from members of MacNN's working class. It strains the database system with a proven rise in emoticon usage and oversized signatures. Only Ron Paul has correctly identified the problem and has the right ideas to solve the problem.

This has nothing at all to do with race. Just because the people involved are Latinos, does not make this a "race" riot.

Buried as inaccurate. Oh, wait...

I read that the child and crowd were black, while the people in the car were Hispanic. I hadn't even thought of the illegal immigrant aspect of it. "Juneteenth" is a celebration of the Emancipation Proclamation as it arrived in Texas. So maybe it isn't a race riot because no white folks were involved.

Next time give it a little more thought before knee-jerking a response like the thread title or this one.

If you read the article futher you would also have read that it had nothing to do with the "Juneteenth" celebration.

What does that have to do with anything?

One of the most disturbing things about this story to me is that police wouldn't allow any emergency crews near the dying man for 35 minutes while they "secured the scene". Not even the man's relatives were allowed close. What kind of stupid police procedure is that? If the police are there, the mob is gone and no one's firing any guns I would say the scene is secure enough to save a dying man choking on his own blood.
