ACK! Get your priorities straight!
Never skip lunch. Lunch is sacred. It's one of the few opportunities you get to chat with chicks at work.
I worked for 16 years as a union member. We *ALWAYS* took a lunch break. Even when management decided to let us have half a day off with pay. Breaktime and lunch are non-negotiable time periods.

Then you need a new job. Life is too short to spend it with ugly chicks.

If you're just going to break even, why not go on vacation all summer?

In a given week I maybe do 30 minutes of actual work. I have 29 hours of paid time, though i'm only there for about 20 hours. My one boss is gone most of the time. I can pretty much do what I want. For the past two weeks I've been learning Logic Pro. They pay ins't that great, but it covers the monthly rent and funds a savings account. I don't love it or hate it; it is just a job untill I graduate.

Ditto. However, is your answering machine music a Sony Walkman plugged into the box?

I like working for the government (I work at a school district.) Don't expect pay raises or anything while you're working there, but, do expect awesome benefits regardless of history. Health, dental, vision, etc. even if you've had cancer or existing case of glaucoma. You also get priority when applying for positions even if you're not qualified (they'll train you.) It's great job security once you get your foot in the door.

I don't know why, but this box I'm typing in (here at the forum) is about one inch by one inch square.
???
At any rate, I work about 40 hours a week from a home office. I make a pretty good living for a specialized occupation. I have odd hours because I usually work very early and very late with lapses in between to take care of other things.
I do like my job, though I know it's not my dream job and it may end at any time because sometimes I'd rather go to work for a company instead of do my own thing.
But, I'm good at my job, very good, and it's a niche job that I fell into, so-to-speak.

I work at a bookstore currently while I'm going to college. Somedays I can work 8 to 430, some days 10 to 6, and some days 4 to 12(usually later cleaning the store). So, its always fun to see the new schedule. And when I'm on here late its usually because I got off work late and cant go to sleep.

When not traveling (working from home)
Day job: 8am - 5:30pm
night job: (teaching) 6:00pm - 11pm
When traveling (other cities)
6:30am - 9pm M - F ... plus writing reports on Saturdays (roughly 6 - 8 hours).
All travel hours (air, etc) are in addition to above.
That said: It's a great job ... if not exhausting.
