I like the "people off the street switch ad style" they are going for. The hyperbolic Mafioso in the first ad is hilarious. Second one is good too. Not sure about the car dealer guy though. :/

I like it how around the time that the iPhone came out the adverts were orientated in a "this is the iPhone, this is what it does, and this is how easy it is to do it." Now that the iPhone has been out and everyone knows what it is and what it can do, they're showing a, like - - e r i k - - said, "people off the street switch ad style" with people saying what they think about it.
I like the adverts.

I just thought it was weird that he used to carry two phones... one for calls and one for text messages. Seems odd. Why not just talk on the one you message with?

I got the sense that the second was blackberry or similar. Blackberry started as a mobile mail platform, and less of a phone, and a lot of people still go with carrying two devices.

I wish the Switch ads had been this un-annoying.

I carry 2 phones with me as well. One with data-plan and the other one is for voice-only.
Anyway, no female iPhone user?

These are great ads. Kudos to Apple on making some pretty cool switcher ads.
But what about the computers? I never see any regular Mac ads anymore.

Must agree, I was watching football and saw the ads, and was very pleased with the results.
The last "computer" ad I saw from Apple was a few weeks after the new iMac hit shelves and it was the ad where the iMac was spinning. After those ran for awhile I have yet to see anymore, but maybe Apple will go this way with all their ads for awhile? Have people come talk about how X product has change, for the better, how they do things.

The ads seemed smarmy, unbelieving and overbearing IMO.. same Mac/PC style but without the comedy ("oh, look at that, umm, brilliant"), boo hiss.

"Hi, I'm an iPhone" "..and I'm a smartphone"
Nah, leave Justin and John to the computer ads.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

If it ends up as a switcher type of ad, it will be an AT&T switcher ad.

The second one is cut to bits, sometimes he's got an iPhone in is hand, then its gone, then its back again. Annoying.

I wonder how many hours of filming it takes to make one of those adverts?

When I first saw these during football this Sunday, I immediately thought they were put out by AT&T. They just didn't feel very Apple to me. But they are OK. Nothing spectacular, but they can't all be home runs.

It does carry the AT&T logo before the Apple logo, so I think they are at least in part produced by AT&T. I'm not that impressed so far, but perhaps they'll grow on me.

For years I kept my keys in my car. Either in the glovebox or on the visor over the driver seat.
one day my car got stolen by a 13 year old out of my driveway. Who knew that he'd find the keys? Whatever. Anyway: I now bring my keys indoors. (Except the one under the bumper in case I get locked out.) Perhaps he does the same.

Yeah ... Windows Mobile devices in particular make decent (even good) data devices but crappy phones. Palm is almost as bad.

So, like, I was on the phone... and it was like beeep-beeep-beeep. And I lost the call. And it was a really good call. So I had to remake the call and I had to do it fast and it wasn't as good.
Its kind of... a bummer.
