I just bought a refurb 16gb touch about a month ago. I like it alot. However, it kinda sucks that the new 16gb just came out at the same price as I paid for my refurb. Is there any way of returning the touch I have now, exchanging it, anything like that, where I could take advantage of the new pricing?

That's what I figured. I don't suppose there's any good excuse to return it and get my money back?

You bought something that for you at the time represented fair value for money. Meaning it did what you needed it to do, at a price you deemed to be fair.

That hasn't changed. Your iPod hasn't lost functionality, you aren't being charged anything extra. So, given these circumstances, I am not sure why you seem to think any business would just give you your money back or upgrade you to the latest and greatest.

I don't mean to sound like an ass here, but nobody forced you to buy when you did. Caveat emptor.

Why? I mean, the new Touch is maybe a couple millimeters thinner, but it's not a groundshaking difference. And all the new software will run on your refurb, right? So it's not like you're stuck with a Betamax or an HD-DVD player. Your Touch does everything you want it to. Enjoy.

If it wasn't refurbished and was within 15 days you would be able to. But there isn't anything groundbreaking about the new touch. For me the coolest feature is Genius, and I have that on my touch with 2.1.

Apple has price protection for 14 days. A return has a 10% restocking fee.
So, there's really no good way to go about doing what you wish to do.
