Just a little work in progress for my personal use. If there's any interest, I could contact Linestudio, Chaninja and GFXman for permission. Any Takers? How's the color match?

Well, from my point of view, the only color change I would do is tweak the orange color just slightly more to the red side. The orange that Swiz used was more of a red.
Other than that, I love them. If you got permission, I would use them Nice, simple stuff James.

Oh, but my only critique it that the desktop icon looks too much like a printer unless that is what you were trying to accomplish.

Ohterwise,

Interesting on the red/orange comment. I took the color straight from Swiz's highlighted menu item in the finder. I shall investigate further. As for the desktop/printer issue, I was only staying as close to the original Block OS set as possible, but it does look printer like....

Maybe just remove the chair from infront of the desk itself and it would look much less printer-like.

I agree with Carbon on the chair part.

How did you come to that exact color of the orange? I opened your screenie in photoshop and here is the difference between the two colors:
yours: r 252 g 115 b 60
swiz: r 249 g 94 b 63

I know that is completely anal, but I'm insane when it comes to color matching. I get that from my dad and he works in prinitng.
You don't have to change them, I like them as they are.

Base the color on the red of an iPod's buttons.. I think Swiz may update his theme to represent this more accurately later too.

You dont want to base it directly off the actual glow of the iPods buttons because I did that initially and as red/orange as they appear photoshop picks up on it as being pink.

nah base it on the blue of the screen, orange glow is the most horrible glow of them all, just look at orange mobile phone screens ugh vomit educing. Although making everything blue is a bit of a cliche but blockos is one of the few times it works well

Almost have a complete iContainer done. Still need to do some more CD types, location files and clipping icons. Some I had to 'create' for the mac platform needs and are totally subject to taste...oh well....

Maybe the set could be available in different colours? One in blue, another in red-orange, or black/gray... That would give the users more flexibility and options.

They look awesome. A black/gray variation and a light pink variation would be amazing.

Great!

These look like they'll be long-time favorites once you release them.

Hopefully you can get the permissions necessary.

Question: What icons are you using in the first screen shot? The white circles in the finder side bar... They work well with the GUiPod theme. Have you thought about adding those to the current set you're working on now?

Those are windows icons converted to mac format using pic2icon. Just do a google for "orbital icons" and you will find them. Apparently someone was working on porting them but they decided not to. I tried the pic2icon thing but the converted icons ended up looking kind of crappy. Not sure if I did something wrong or not.
I'd love to see someone who has converted the icons post a link to them. Of course, I'd like it even better if these icons were released. The wait is driving me nuts!

Same here! I emailed the creator of the orbital icons and he told me a couple mac users already had converted them, but I cannot find the converted icons anywhere.

1. So i looked into converting the icons.. the pic2icon isn't going to work unless someone has a high-res picture to work from.. the one on the web site is to small and grainy.

2. Is there an icon file format converter out there? I have the .ico files.. any ideas?

I'm essentially finished. Just waiting on the last permissions. If I continue to get no response I suppose I'll have to remake the whole set from scratch using the original 32 pixel set from Linestudio.....

I have enough needed permissions now. I just need to remake a couple from scratch that were part of a set that I can't contact the author on. Should have an OS X set and an iContainer out this weekend.
