I'm going to have to ship my Sawtooth cross-country, but since I bought it used, I don't have the original box for it. Does anybody have experience shipping computers and know any tips? I know I should take off the handles but what about padding materials? Do you think peanuts would keep it in place well enough, or would it get bounced around too much in transit? Thanks in advance.

Go to the UPS store. All you have to do is drop it off and they do all th epackaging and shippin gfor you. It will cost $40-50 but it is well worth it. I did this with a Quicksilver a year or so ago.

Once you have a box that it will fit into, just got to staples/omax ect & buy a large roll of bubble wrap ($10-15). Wrap it around the case 3 or 4 times and tape it good. Then use crumpled newspaper to fll all remaining space in the box.
Seal the egdes & seams from 3 directions, mark the box FRAGILE, INSURE IT FOR $200, and be happy

Personally I find it hilarious that you have the hots for my gramma. Especially seeins how she is 3x your age, and makes your Brittney-Spears-wannabe 30-something wife look like a rag doll who went thru WWIII with a burning stick of dynamite up her a** :)
