I can't get this game to work. Any ideas? In the forums it said to use the stand alone Flash Player 7 but I can't find it.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

And scroll down until you see:

Download the Macintosh Flash Player 7 Projectors (4.9 MB)

Btw, I thought you could play it through Safari as well?

I couldn't get it to play in Safari, IE, Firefox or Camino. It would never completely load.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.

The following procedure outlines how I got Dofus to work:

I downloaded the .zip file for the Mac OS X version, uncompressed it, put the resulting folder into my /Applications/ folder, put an alias to the Dofus.html file in my dock, and clicked on the alias.

This started up Safari. Macromedia Flash Player Security then displaed the following error message:

Macromedia Flash Player Security

The following local application on your computer or network:

/Applications/Dofus_v1_12_0 Folder/loader.swf

is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location:

dl.dofus.com

To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings.
You must restart this application after changing your settings.
I then clicked on the button labelled "Settings...."

This opened the following new window in Safari:

Macromedia - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Global Security Settings Panel

Macromedia Flash Player ™ Settings Manager

Global Security Settings

[snip]

Always trust files in these locations:
Then I clicked on the pull-down arrow next to the "Edit locations..." list.

This brought up the following pull-down list:

Add location...
Edit location...
Delete location

Delete all locations
I then clicked on the Add location... button.

This brought up the following dialog box:

Trust this location:
Browse for files... box Browse for folder... box

Tip:The application that recently tried to communicate with the Internet is:

/Applications/Dofus_v1_12_0 Folder/loader.swf
I then clicked on the Browse for folder... box button.

This brought up a system dialog box.

I located the /Applications/Dofus_v1_12_0 Folder/ folder, and clicked on the "Select" button.

This then added it to the list of trusted folders.

Then I closed Safari, and then clicked on the Dofus.html icon in my dock again.

This successfully started Dofus. After seeing that both soma.swf and core.swf were successfully loaded, the following Dofus dialog box then appeared in Safari:

I then clicked on the Close box.

Since I was sleepy at the time, I didn't immediately download the update. However, I plan to download it the next time, and to replace my current Dofus.html dock alias with a new alias to the new Dofus.html file in the update after I put it into my /Applications/ folder.
