Hi,
I really need some help:
With one of the websites we programmed we have the problem, that it just keeps loading and loading... and we just can't figure out why.
This problem only appears on Macs. Some Macs.
We have tried to find out whether this problem is connected to a certain kind of mac or browser or operating system but could not find any regularities.
And we made sure it is not caused by the php or html.
Does anybody have an idea?
Thanks a lot...

The problem is that you dont see anything if you try to load the site on some Macs. You see a blanc screen. No reaction at all.
We tried the folowing things:
- We cached the site in HTML and it loaded fine
- We built a counter wich logged the progress in the php file to see at what poin the php stops. It went through 100%. Still nothing arrived at the user.
As far as we know there are different types of OS X wich have the problem (10.3 and 10.4, havent had any reports on leopard yet, but thats a bit early.)
The bug appear only on some Macs. We use macs with different versions in house and are not affected, but we went to a few people to check and have the possibility to check on one system where it doesnt show if anyone has a guess what might be the reason.
We would like to post the link to the site affected. The site is in German and all content is password protected, so no guerilla there.
Has anyone heard about anything like this? It is causing serious damage and we have no idea what to do about it. No Firewalls in the way. All other sites on the same server work with the same cms just fine. We have no idea what to do, any help welcome.

Not displayed in what? Safari? Firefox? iCab? If it doesn't pull up in one browser, does it pull up in another? The problem seems oddly mixed. You say as HTML, it's fine, which sounds like it's a server issue, yet you say it only displays on some macs, which make it sound as though it's a local issue.
We need more information to help.

If it will work in Safari for Windows, it should work in Safari for the Mac.

It seems the problem is not browser related
On the Macs that don't display the site: They don't display it in any browser, whereas the site works in any browser on all the other macs.
Concerning the question whether this is a local problem: We have asked our customers and partners all over Germany / GB whether the site is displayed on their macs or not. Some could see it some couldn't. No matter where they tried.
Thanks.
