Oh no, all hell is about to break loose.
Melania says she'll pray every day for hospitalized children following Papal meeting – as she reveals she will be the first Catholic to live in the White House since the Kennedys

No more than Pelosi, Cuomo, Kerry, Sibelius, etc.

The Donald is Presbyterian. It does explain her opening the FL rally by saying "Let us Pray"

I don't remember that GIF, but I imagine what occurred in it is less debatable.

What we're doing here is the equivalent of "amateur Kremlinology".

Hence my original assertion we aren't behaving any differently than we have in the past.

I'm not sure I understand what new claim is being made here.

Amateur Kremlinology has a political implication, doubly so given current events. I'm reiterating that it's not political.

My apologies. It wasn't meant as such.

I'm saying it's people trying to divine what's happening internally in a closed system by way of analyzing potentially meaningless external events.

If there's a political angle it's that people hate Trump's bigly guts for political reasons, which is the kind of thing which leads to biased analysis.

I mean, sure, but I feel like using the term analysis here gives the entire thing too much credit. This is People level gossip.

I just managed to really rile up a Trump voter on a FB thread just by calling him a child for behaving like a child. She really thinks he's more trustworthy than anyone else in DC. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can think like that about him. A single glance should be enough to tell you he isn't presidential material.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Neither was Hillary, on many levels she was more vile. How many people have the "accidentally" die, or suddenly off themselves, around the Clintons before credulity goes out the window? They're either apostles of Cthulhu or hiring killers.

I meant Christianity in general. Don't all flavors of Christianity embrace the same basic high level ideals against sexual assault, for caring for the poor, etc.?

I'm so tired of Trump criticism being deflected to being left-wing criticism. You don't have to support politicians, you can support beliefs and values. Why is it that your beliefs and values in issues like abortion are absolute, but when it comes to other things you are okay with giving certain politicians passes?

The way you cherrypick the issues you care about and gloss over everything else is staggering. I just don't understand how you can be essentially a one or two issue voter right now.

I think I'm starting to see what is going on here...

Now that Hillary Clinton is a non-factor you guys have gone from positioning Trump in your mind as the lesser of these two evils, to positioning him as being against a new evil which is his opposition that is prone to exploitation for political gain?

Why can't your politics be about actually having ideals and values? And (to tie into my conversation with Chongo) more than one or two of them?

Sure, people are over-dramatizing and trying to score political points, welcome to politics, but if you aren't concerned about his alleged/actual ties to Russia, allegations of obstructions to justice, his approach to health care, his massive ego, his little war with the media and court decisions, his associations including his family, his terrible communication (tweeting, etc.), his obvious lies, etc. then, to be perfectly blunt, you don't have values and are still stuck on this binary choice thing.

Everybody should be concerned with at least a handful of these issues and should be vocalizing them no matter what your political persuasion is. You can still think he is the best option, but if you are blowing off all of these things than honestly something is wrong with you.

If some of these things don't transcend political loss and gain, what does?

That's well done enough I'm irritated they didn't even try to match the white balance or the background.

Edit: I guess the background is probably better than it appears, but I stand by my WB criticism.

I bet you have a really swanky, bespoke tin foil hat don't you?

Since when does killing people make you unpresidential? As long as you do it with some kind of style or class. Or at the very least don't leave any worthwhile evidence. Donnie can't even conspire with Putin without bragging about it.

I love that you talk about credulity in a sentence accusing a former president and first lady/secretary of state of multiple conspiracies to murder.

It's not nearly as nice as your steel chastity belt.

The rest is you trying to justify murder, which, even for you, is a bit much. Four dozen, otherwise healthy, 30 and 40-somethings winding up dead (usually by "botched robbery"), after associating with the Clintons, isn't normal, no matter how you try to hand-wave it off.

Pretty sure if there was anything to it, Trey Gowdy would still be holding hearings. Maybe he is. In his basement. With his army of stuffed squirrels.

Two things to Trumps credit:

He's using a presumably secured iPhone to tweet now

He tweeted about the Portland hate crime

He also had an infatuation with Bernie during the primaries.

I don't think it's necessarily the sign of any larger trend, but it's funny how "white, murderous psychopath" was immediately presumed to be a Trump supporter. The lessons of election day stereotypes still haven't registered with many.
