Hey guys
I have a Pismo Powerbook. And the adapter has stopped working. It looks frayed and burned out near the part that goes into the computer.
This is the 3rd adapter I've bought, and I'm tired of paying for them over and over. Is there a way to fix it? Anyone know how?

not an expert, but...sounds like the problem is with the ac card in the powerbook itself
(it's hard to believe the ac adapters are failing on their own).
take it to the shop, get that fixed! (i had to do this on my pismo)

The round adapters are known to break by the plug that goes in to the laptop. It would be advisable to purchase an after market adapter or look for one of the older black rectangular adapters that Apple used to include with the Lombards.

Get a Lombard adapter, I use one for my Pismo since 2000.
