I was getting close to ordering one of these babies and I came across some reviews on apple.com and those reviews are starting to give me second thoughts.
There's a fair amount of reviews that stated that the case itself scratched the MBP. I'm not quite sure where but some of them appeared to be around the corners or hinges.
Any users of the speck case like to give their $.02 on the case. I'd like to have something in place to protect it from scratches but I'm not sure what at this stage.

Two issues:
(1) The opening angel of your screen will be decreased, making it even harder to work with the MBP at a lower position.
(2) Heat. It would only be worse than without using it, even though it has the vent openings.
I also felt the MBP became significantly heavier than I expected.

Thanks for the input, very helpful. I owned a PB before and the case really didn't get marked up. I guess I was getting a little obsessive. I'd rather not risk scratching it, decreasing the opening angle or making it hotter as you posted
Thanks

I have it on my MBP and it's fine for now. The heat issue is also something I was concerned about but right now I am not straining the MBP that much which runs a littl cooler. I have heard some people leave the bottom portion off to help with cooling.
Is there such a thing as a clear skin for the MBP? I think that would be great unless heat would be an issue again.
