We have i iTunes account as a family, under my wife's email address, she initially set it up years ago.

We sync an iPad and 3 iPod Touches to it regularly. I just got the iPhone 4S and I'm wondering how to handle this.

What's the most elegant way for my to use iCloud under my own ID/email address, but still be able to sync to the common iTunes account with music and apps?

Thanks!

Chris

I think it just lets you enter a separate account for the iTunes.

Shared accounts seem like they'll just become more of a headache as time goes on and more services are offered.

Pff, that's if you don't understand how Apple's ID system works.

Apple makes it possible to use a shared Apple ID for iTunes syncing, Store purchases and Home Sharing, while on the other hand, use individual Apple IDs for iCloud (Email, calendar, addressbooks etc...).

It makes complete sense, once you grasp the concept of being able to use same *or* different Apple IDs, depending on your set of circumstances.
