Hey all, I've noticed a ton of my aac files have for a while been cutting out a few seconds to sometimes a minute or two early on my iPhone. I just recently ran into a problem where Lion wouldn't let me use my energy saver or desktop system prefs on all users so I decided to wipe everything, keep my files but ditch my old library folder etc.

I'm guessing the files might just be corrupted ... which would then be a pain to track them all down and reimport. (Beyond that some seem to not be available on the iTMS anymore) I'm almost debating just paying for a year of iTunes match to back them up and ensure that I don't lose some of my more rare stuff ... specifically the stuff I don't still have on CD.

So I decided that in order to ensure I didn't lose anything else worse than I might now, I decided to buy iTunes Match. At least this way I should be able to ensure I won't lose anything more. And my Library is too big to ensure that everything is proper.

Those are likely VBR-corrupted files that got re-converted to mp3, AAC, etc. They generally play fine on a Mac, but they usually do not play on an iPod or iPhone.

Nothing you can do about them, other than download a different file of the same intended content.
