I have to create a RPM. While I've used RPM and yum a lot, I've never created rpms.

Its going to be a pretty complex RPM - for Oracle database server binaries. Its going to create users, groups, change settins etc.

Q1) RPM Pre-reqs : if I have some rpms as pre-reqs, can they be forced to install without user intervention?

Q2) Machine config : I have a script that checks stuff like space and kernel parameters. If someone runs my oracle_rpm then I want it to stop and force the user to confirm to proceed. Is this even possible?

Q3) What have a let myself in for?
