Do the new iPods work with 3G devices, such as iTalk, the Belkin Battery Pack and Media Reader and iTrip? I'm thinking of upgrading but won't if I have to get all of that stuff yet again (after going from 2G to 3G. Thanks

I purchased an iTrip for my 3G 40 back in June, so i was very happy when it worked for my new 4G 40GB.

I would think other devices would work that were designed for 3G iPods, but the iTrip is obviously the only one i know will work.

cheers

The dock connector is supposed to be identical, so there shouldn't be issues with any devices that work with the 3rd Gen. (other than maybe software problems, if they are not compatable with the iPod 3.0 Software)

Yes, i'm almost certain that the dock connector is identical on 3G-4G iPods. I recently fitted a Dension Ice Link (iPod link kit) to my car stereo. Website only mentioned 3G compatability, but I figured the site had not been updated yet, so bought it anyway, and sure enough, it works just fine
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

A bit out of thread, but maybe not. Will the 3G remote work with 4G ipods?

Getting a new 4G through a warranty replacement, but I want to save some money on remotes and figure finding a 3G remote on the 'bay would be cheaper than getting a 4G.
