Nice. Is that the 24"model?

I've actually been thinking about trading my Mac Pro for a 24" iMac 2.8GHz. I don't need a 4-core machine, really, and the space savings would be welcome.

IceEnclosurep, just a small piece of info: You can flip back the blue-greyish rings holding up the SoundSticks. That way it gives you the illusion they're floating in mid-air, more or less like the iMac. The way you have them now is basically only for shipping purposes (taking up les space in the box). As such:

I also see you have the same mini desk lamps as I do!

.Neo, who says?(shipping purposes)... I say they're good either way, and since I've had them for going on 4 years, I'd know!

I've had them both ways, but with my current seating position in relation to where the speakers are, they aim at me best like this.

edit: and yes, I totally got the lamps after seeing yours. The Galant desk, on the other hand, I've had my eye on for quite some time.

Here's mine:

i decided to get the new keyboard as celebration for doing good on a midterm. I think it matches the old iMac style pretty well and it's really ncie to type on. Plus the usb 2.0 is nice. I've been wanting to get either a 20 or 23" cinema display though to have some real fun...

You should leave your screen resolution as it is. There is only one resolution for LCD screens that will look clear. A 20" display should be at 1680x1050.

Also, this is the wrong thread to ask for advice.

How do you like the iMAc with that display? I was thinking of doing something similar, but didn't know if I should go for the 23" one. I'd prefer the 20" because of the price.

I think you mean 24"? I love my iMac, and the new aluminum ones even more. I'd rather have the two 20"s than one 24", obviously.

Here's my wall mounted 24' iMac. My desk has never been so tidy!

Its the 2.4 one with 4gb of ram and seems loads quicker than my 2.33 macbook pro (guess its the faster hard drive etc).

i won't lie. it's not a very ergonomic setup but i have this low chair (i think it's called poang from ikea) that sits just at eye level with the monitor. it's pretty comfortable sitting on the floor too! i really bought this machine to use front row while laying in bed with my apple remote though, haha.
