Kobe: Malone made pass at my wife
Mercury News Wire Services

LOS ANGELES - Jumaine Jones hit seven three-pointers and finished with 25 points in the Los Angeles Lakers' 105-98 victory over the Orlando Magic on Sunday night.
Kobe Bryant had 23 points on 6-of-23 shooting and added eight rebounds and six assists, hours after accusing former teammate Karl Malone of making a pass at his wife.
The Los Angeles Times broke the story in its Sunday edition. The New York Post had reported Friday that the source of friction between Bryant and Malone was that somehow Malone had gotten on Vanessa Bryant's ``frosty side.''
Then before the game, Bryant gave details of his feud with Malone, saying he had phoned his former teammate after Vanessa Bryant told her husband Nov. 23 that Malone had made inappropriate comments to her that night at the game at Staples Center.
Bryant said he called Malone and told him, ``Stay away from my wife. What's wrong with you? How could you?''
Malone was unavailable for comment Sunday.
According to his agent, Dwight Manley, Malone said he had never made a pass at Bryant's wife, that he initially was surprised at the accusation and that he apologized to both Bryant and his wife for any remarks she may have considered inappropriate.
``Karl's response to Kobe's comments today is that he's a basketball player and not a soap opera actor and he doesn't intend to be involved in a personal soap opera,'' Manley said of his client.

Why does Kobe care? He has sex with multiple women each week and should know his wife does the same w/ men.

I think Shaq, Kobe, and Malone are all far from role-models.
