That's "Heil! Kommen Sie her!"

This robot drone is very impressing btw. You'll find more of those or similar DARPA projects if you dig in the web.

I am reminded of this logging vehicle:
High T3ch 6-Legged Walking Logging Machine

And this chair:
DVICE: Walking robot makes you even more lazy

My son is due to get a new power wheelchair this year; a pity this technology isn't farther along. Most power wheelchairs are not designed for use in rough terrain (with the exception of THIS ONE ). A walking power chair would be quite useful.

Walking bots like this do have uses outside the military, especially with wheelchairs and mobility aids. What do you call a wheelchair that doesn't have wheels though?!

A while ago I saw a wheelchair based on segway technology, it had 4 small wheels on a platform (maybe 6 with 3 on each side in a triangle formation, not sure now), and could lift itself up and balance on its 2 wheels like a segway, and the person was raised up to a standing eye level.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

That would be the iBOT . We looked at that one, but the seating options are a bit limited.

Aeolius, and others, did you see the Colbert Report when the inventor, or maker, someone, showed it off on the show? very nifty device.

Agreed, though my son wants one tricked out with an on-board computer and internet access, like THIS ONE . I'd probably modify it a bit, though, to tie in with my other PLANS .
