Looking to buy a 40" or 46" LCD tv (1080p). Lots of sales out there right now but I'd like something that'll last.

Also, what's the difference between true contrast and dynamic contrast?

Thanks

Samsung and Vizio were at the top of my list when I finished my research recently. I've since bought a Samsung 52A750 and LOVE IT!.

I like my Sharp. After taking my laptop to Best Buy, it was the only model that didn't exhibit graphic artifacts when connected to my computer. That was only 32" TVs though.

I love, love, love my 42" Sony Bravia. It looks awesome (I don't like the piano-black bezels found on a lot of TVs; they're too reflective and fingerprinty), the menu system is super easy to use, and (most importantly) the picture quality is fantastic.
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.
