Joe Cocker dead at 70 | Fox News

That sucks. He did a great John Belushi imitation.

I didn't know he was only 70. I saw him in 2001 - double bill with the Guess Who!....yes the earnest cheesy factor was everywhere - but I would've sworn he was at least 70 at that point.

On another note, I saw John Fogerty recently and it was the opposite - could've pegged him for early 50s from the stage, even though he's pushing 70. But with no less cheese.
Mankind's only chance is to harness the power of stupid.

Nice bit on the John Belushi-Joe Cocker SNL bit
The History of Joe Cocker + John Belushi's 'Saturday Night Live' Duet

John does spot on version of Joe's Woodstock performance.

V. Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine.
R. Et lux perpetua luceat eis.

Fidelium animae, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen

V. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.
R. And let the perpetual light shine upon them.

And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Belushi did Cocker on the "National Lampoon Lemming's" LP "Lonely at the bottom of the Barrel". Very funny LP.

That clip is on the linked article. It's pre SNL. It says Chevy Chase is on drums.
