Trying to crowd source some updates- both my wife and my parents live in costal NC and we can't get in touch. My parents are on the Outer Banks but they evacuated inland. The in-laws live inland but on the water (Edenton for those keeping score).

If any one knows how things are looking- please post. No one is answering phones.

According to my NC peeps, nowt much happened - apparently.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

Finally spoke to in-laws- two feet of water in the basement- not good. No report on my parents house as of yet. They are right on the water- I'm a bit worried.

Not useful sadly, all tweets I can find seem to be of the "I hear" variety and reports range from "no big deal" to "chest-Hightower flooding". I guess I will know tomorrow when they go home to survey the damage.

I wonder what the outcome will be on the housing market, provided that all humans are spared.

Little to none? It doesn't seem like it's destroying the world.
