I've got an iBook 12" G4 1.2Ghz, bought in about March 2005, that I'd like to upgrade the GPU in. I just wanted to know,
1 - Is it possible to actually upgrade it
2 - If so, which cards will it support?

It's because I'd like a bit faster game performance and also to run Core Animation in Leopard (don't wanna miss that new screensaver )
iBook G4 12.1" 1280MB 30GB(soon to be 100) 1.2Ghz. First Mac, had for 1.5 years, loving it.

Unfortunately, it's completely impossible to do, thebiscuit. Laptops have their GPUs as chips on their motherboards instead of as separate cards, and there are also no expansion slots for such a purpose.

If you are desparate for a little extra speed, you could overclock the onboard video, but do your homework before you do so, if you cook the onboard video, your laptop is done.
