Walked by on Sunday (Didn't have a camera though). The shop front looked very finished, so I asked at the info desk when was the opening. They didn't know (Me: When does the Apple shop open? Desk lady: Not today. Me: No, I didn't mean that, I mean, what date? Desk lady: Don't know, soon?)
There is word it may be Saturday? (if so what time?) Can anyone confirm, (Parky: did that sign say anything other than 'Soon'. Or did you ask the man in the first pic?) the Apple UK site STILL doesn't have the Manchester/Trafford store listed, and the Malls site just says 'soon'

OHH THE IRONY: The 'Grand Opening Soon' sign in front (in the first pic) has the Apple Uk Retail web address on it, where it doesn't even mention the place. Apple UK, right on the ball as usual.

I wonder when the next Canadian apple store will be opening? I was at the openning of York Dale, don't think I'll be attending any more until they open in Winnipeg. That said if they do open in Winnipeg I am SOOOO getting a job there!

Unfortunatley the sign outside the store did not have a date on it.

I did ask the guy stood at the entrance but he was just security and he said he did not know when the store would open. That could be a deliberate ploy to make no commitment yet.

The store did look 100% complete with all the stock on display, computers up and running, staff in uniforms, clean, tidy, etc. It looked to me as if it could open any second.

If it does not open on Saturday it must be because of some technical issue, maybe they don't have internet access yet or Apple network.

I would be surprised if it did not open on Saturday, otherwise why remove the black boarding.

Cool stuff. Now I when I go shopping with my missus I can just tell her to come and get me when she's finished.

hmm, maybe not. I'm sure she'll still want my opinion on the 16th pair of nearly identical shoes she's tried on that day.

Oh well, perhaps I can do a runner whilst she's in the changing rooms...
