well i am ...stupid anyway...i was just downloading some cool new games and i decided to put all my games in a folder of their own...so i made a new folder and for some readon i moved said folder to the trash bin...now dont ask how i managed this but ...2 of the games were the ones that came with the ibook...tony hawke and deimos rising...which i think are really good...it there any way of reinstalling them from the start up disks?

They should be kept on the "Software Restore" disc(s) that came with the computer. Normally you'd run the Software Restore, but that is dumb and it takes forever, plus it reinstalls EVERYTHING and doesn't let you choose what to install.

So instead, I'd suggest this fairly simple operation instead:

1) Download TinkerTool
2) Use TinkerTool's feature to show hidden files.
3) Insert restore disc and look for the hidden folder called ".images"
4) Look in the .images folder for the games and drag them to your own hard disk to install them.
5) User TinkerTool again to hide the hidden files

Should work pretty well. Just be careful not to do anything rash when you have the hidden files visible - it would be easy to accidentally erase an important system file.

Disk 2 has disk images. You can use Apple's Disk Utility to "restore" the images back to your boot drive.

Also, Chess is part of the OS--it's not a separate install.
