I have a biege G3/266 minitower. If I install a FireWire PCI card will this be compatible with the iPod? I have read some postings of iPod not working with some PCMCIA Cards on laptops, but will it with with the PCI add on cards? Please advise.

Should work fine. I have a Que FW card in my 8500/G3-454 at work and used it to try out my iPod when I got it last Friday. Sync'd fine and charged the battery too.

I have the same system. I installed the firewire card and "presto" it works great. Transferred the music to my iPod in seconds.

Your correct it wont work on my Lombard with a firewire card.

You'll love the iPod :-)
