Hey all,

check out www.pbzone.com for details on how you can get DVD playback (although limited, it still works) for your lombard in X. It uses VideoLAN Client which can be found on versiontracker.

This is an awesome find. Sure it's not perfect, but I can finally watch my dvds on my powerbook now!

Playback with my Lombard 333mhz is quite good. You have to use it with the 'RagePro fix' for the lombard otherwise playback is shocking.

I'm guessing it's about 20fps with the RagePro fix, and about 5 fps without. When there is a lot of movement on the screen it' dosen't flow perfectly and you get slight skipping(?), but still watchable.

The RagePro fix also works with 10.2.

OK, then - where do I find the RagePro fix? Had it once but lost it. Thanks.

Installing 10.2 overwrites the ragepro driver I think, so you will have to reinstall the rage pro fix.

Anyone get this to work on Jaguar?

I tried it and can't get it to work. Am I doing something wrong?

Probably. It worked fine for me on this Lombard running Jaguar (starting anew -- I wiped out its 10.1 installation a while ago due to general pokiness).
