My carrier Claro recently rolled out 4G LTE here in the East Coast of the DR. I think I'm the only one using it. The speed is insane (it's okay to be jealous)

I attached a 4G USB modem to a Draytek router at an office I look after that is right at the end of the DSL circuit. Managed to get over 80Mbps while I was testing it. It seems to have dropped off since and is not terribly reliable at the moment. Not sure whether its a signal issue or if its just the Draytek isn't as good as it likes to think it as at load balancing between two lines.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Yeah, that's pretty sick for LTE, fastest I've ever seen.

Impressive. There wasn't even decent voice cell coverage the last time I was in the DR (~8 years ago), beautiful country, though.

My mobile plan is about $40/month and I get 400 minutes of calls within the DR, Puerto Rico and the US. I get 3 GB of data and then it's throttled. I've never hit the limit so I'm not sure how slow it gets. It's nice that calls to the US are considered local calls.

Claro is also in the process of installing fibre but it's not yet available to my house.

I don't think its a capping issue. I've had similar problems trying to split traffic between multiple lines in this office before. There was a satellite line in there once upon a time.
