Want to make your own wallpaper but you can't figure out where the sections are?

NO PROBLEM!

I spent about 45 minutes with a 35mm projector lens, my iPhone, and Photoshop and came up with this. Enjoy!

Photoshop and JPG versions.

Those pixels were a bitch to count, even with a big lens.

Yes, thank you very much. I sure will be using this over the years.

Hey, what ever happened to the clown fish wallpaper Steve was showing? I got it for my PowerBook, but I kinda miss it on the iPhone.

Here's a question -- how come when I get a call the image I choose for my friend is filling the whole screen but in all the demos it was showing the wallpaper and the image chosen for the caller in the upper left corner next to the caller's name?

Anyone figure out how to take an image attachment from an email to the photo library on the iPhone?

That's weird, I think mine is only showing the picture of the person in the upper corner and the wallpaper in the background. I want to know how to do it the way your is.

I can't test this right now, but I think it has to do with whether the phone is off (and by off I mean black screen, you need to press the wake or home button) or on (using it, actively doing something).
When you get a call when it's off, I think it fills the whole screen, while when it's on it's just their picture? I'll be somehwere where I can test this in a little, and I'll let you know, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this happen to me yesterday.

I am sure though, that when someone calls and the phones "off" you need to slide to answer, while when it's "on" you press answer or ignore. That was pretty cool.

Cool, let us know what you find out. I'll try to test this as well.

Tested it out...mine keeps coming up full screen photo regardless of whether the phone is off or on...only the answer slider/button changes...sorry to get your hopes up, I have no idea if I even saw the picture just near the name.

Hmm.. did you assign that particular photo to that contact on the iPhone or was it assigned in your Address Book already?

Okay, I just did a test. I had my girlfriend's picture set in Address Book, and it was showing up in the upper corner when she called. So I replaced her photo on my iPhone with a pic of her I had in my photo album. And now it shows up full screen when she calls. Seems like that's the difference. I assume thats because the pic in Address Book is scaled pretty small, so if it were to make it fill the iPhone's screen it would look pretty bad.

Just thought id do a quick post from the phone to say that this subject has also come up on the apple boards as well. That person stated that she also had this happen and she had both of them happen to her with both address book entries and iPhone entries. That could be her (or me) misremembering... But I thought I'd mention it here.
