It seems that a lot of people (including me) in the international community are thinking about taking advantage of currency exchange rates at the moment and buying a computer while travelling in the US.

Has anyone done this yet? Stories - good or bad - would be good to hear...

I'm just curious, when an American enters the US from abroad they are allowed to import up to $400 of merchandise tax free (for personal use).
When a European citizen, either from England or one of the EU member countries reenters their country from abroad what are they allowed to bring back tax free?
