I was thinking about it today and some of the things my cell phone has replaced
- Watch
- Clock
- Telephone
- Answering Machine
- External Call Display Box
- Landline
- Timer in the kitchen
- Flashlight
- GPS Unit
- Compass
- CD Changer

- Discman
- AM/FM Radio (apps for the ones I listen to)
- Video Camera
- Point and Click Camera. Hardly use my DSLR
- Cut time spent on the computer by almost half

You know its moving that way for me, I mean with a laptop anyways. I can see myself getting a iMac or a Desktop vs a Laptop because I never take a laptop anywhere any more. What I used to do on a laptop on the road I do on my iPhone.

I need big iron for work, but almost everything else is on the phone. The exception which proves the rule are the few things which mobile Safari can't swing cleanly, like entering in my credit card info from 1Password.

Even my iPad is pretty dusty. It's primary use is as PDF reader. When I'm on the couch eating, the phone props on my crossed leg easier, so I use that.

It can, in some cases poorly, perform the same function as all those things, but how many has it actually replaced for you? Here's the ones it hasn't replaced for me:

- Clock - still look at the computer/oven/microwave clock when they're convenient
- Telephone - still use a telephone at work
- Answering Machine - replaced by voicemail, which is unrelated to cell phone (works with landlines, etc)
- External Call Display Box - now integrated in my landline, cell phone still can't match it (no caller id lookup)
- Landline - still use at work (PRI)
- Timer in the kitchen - still prefer to use the microwave or oven timer when in the kitchen
- Flashlight - still use a maglight, usable range of a cell phone torch is 20 feet at best
- GPS Unit - still use dedicated units when flying or difficult driving situations
- CD Changer - still use an iPod in the car instead of a phone
- AM/FM Radio (apps for the ones I listen to) - still use a radio for news/road conditions when driving
- Video Camera - still use a camcorder for any recording I care about
- Point and Click Camera. Hardly use my DSLR - still take the DSLR when I intend to be taking photos, only use cameraphone for snapping impromptu pictures

That's a light one. Every post I've made here since early 2011 has been on my phone.

Hard to say. Practice. Trusting the auto-correct is vital.

Newspapers!

I used to buy one almost every day. That one reason alone makes my iPhone worth every penny. No more paper wasted, no more ink on my fingers, and I can find almost anything I want to read much easier than before.

My stupid iPhone game: Nesen Probe, it's rather old, annoying and pointless, but it's free.
Was free. Now it's gone. Never to be seen again.
Off to join its brother and sister apps that could not
keep up with the ever updating iOS. RIP Nesen Probe.

My cell phone? I guess it hasn't replaced anything. It's just a phone.
Or, are you talking about those newfangled handheld computers that have a phone function included?
