I think my hard drive is dying. My firewire hard drove just made a low pitched slow humming noise. Does this mean it is time for a new one, it is less than two years old? If it does do y'all have any suggestions?
Yes, I know this is the wrong forum, but I did not know where to put it, and anything can go in the lounge.

Of course, run Disk Warrior (tm)
Also... Open Disk utility go to the erase tab...click options... then check Format with zeros"
see if that helps at all... good luck
