I downloaded Developer Tool Kit some time ago and recently watched an Apple Online Seminar illustrating the use of Core Image editing functionality. I used Spotlight and then searched deeper in Applications and it's knowhere to be found. I have the 867 mhz model with a GeForce4 MX graphics card.

Does my Powerbook support Core Image ?

Check system profiler... go to about this mac, then More Info. Select Graphics/displays from the contents on the left, and it will detail information about Core Image.

No, the first 12" does not support Core Image. You need at least the 1.33 or 1.5 GHz model.

I have a 1ghz powerbook 12 with a geforce go 5200 that supports core image... Its strange because I read everywhere the same thing you say steve, that you need at least a 1.33 model for core image. But its really just at least a geforce go 5200. The older 12 inch models have a 4200 geforce, and I don't know why, but my 1 ghz model has a 32 meg ram 5200. I also have a 1.33 model that supports core image as well with 64 megs ram.
