I have an 800 Mhz eMac superdrive that is too slow for what I use it for. Once Apple gives free Panther and releases a new keyboard and mouse. I will order one. Probably a 1.8. the machine is mainly for mpeg2 encoding. But I can't help wondering should I get, G5 1.8, 1.6, or dual 1.25 G4?

Rev. B machines will probably have Panther, the new mice and keyboards, all the trimmings. Maybe hod out with your eMac for those. It's not that bad a machine, your eMac.

G5 1.8 single, or else G5 2.2 single rev. B.
Depends on the software you use though. It's possible a dual 1.25 would suit you OK, at least for some software. I wouldn't really recommend it but it does has the advantage of a cheap price.
