My point was not whether or not he died, but if anybody noticed he was alive.

This is a movie that will at least get some attention. Thought it looked cool.

Rats, I thought the thread title was:

"Keanu is black"

I thought there was going to be some interesting discourse into this matter.

he's actually Lebanese.

but this movie looks weird. it seems like once Exorcist 3 or whatever came around someone else had to make a new devil/religious horror movie.

One of the most wooden actors of our time. He looks and sounds the same in every movie he's ever done. He's not even acting; that's just the way he is.

Aw man, I'm disapointed. I clicked on this thread hoping there was going to be news about a Dog Star reunion tour.

And he is not the only one to do that. Plenty of the most popular Hollywood stars seem to actually be themselves in movies.

I like his way though.

"Constantine" got some controversy, since the creator of the serie got out with a bang, and asked for his name to be removed from the generic. Alan Moore I believe, whom I think is said it is difficult to work with, although he apparently is a great creator.

Will Smith, Michael J. Fox, Morgan Freeman . I love them all (well, I loved Fox when he was still acting...).

plus Kevin Costner, George Clooney, and (since Indiana Jones finished) hHarrison Ford.

Yeah, I was shocked that Matrix was a decent movie when I heard Keanu was going to be the star. That's why I'm interested in seeing how he'll do in another story with potential.

I think it's an issue of nationality, not ethnicity, in this case. He probably was a Lebanese citizen.

Ya never know:

Babylonian Semitic deities. The names have counterparts, or words sounding like them in other Semitic languages like Arabic

Ki (goddess personifying earth; counterpart of Akkadian Aruru)
Anu (Babylonian god of the sky; one of the supreme triad including Bel and Ea)

Kianu, yay, pity Reeves personifies bad acting.

Since Indy finished??

Ford's been in all sorts of range-defying roles: Regarding Henry, the guy from Sabrina, the crazy dad in The Mosquito Coast... he's shining.

Those gods come from a polytheistic culture that Christian and Muslim Arabs spend a great deal of energy resisting. Very unlikely that anybody would name a kid on that basis who comes from that culture. On the other hand, if he was born to foreign parents, then all bets are off.

He is, and he is.
Read his comic book "The Watchmen", available in trade paperback. Redefined superhero comics. All modern 'real life' and 'mature audiences' superhero rags owe their existence to this one series. It's a good read, too.

To be honest, tho, he has written his fair share of crap.
