I don't know how much longer my current cell phone is going to last so I'm becoming more interested in the iPhone mainly because I need to also replace my PDA soon too. I do have a few questions for iPhone owners though:

1. Is the iPhone able to multitask while you are talking on the phone? For example while I'm talking on my phone sometimes it's nice to be able to write down notes about the conversation on my PDA or more often I have to check my calendar to plan an event while talking. Of course I will have to use a hands free head set (or speaker phone if it has it) but I wanted to know if the iPhone can multitask? If not then I'll just have to keep my PDA and cell phone as two separate devices.

2. Is that calendar fully functional? I've heard the problems with the iPod touch's calendar being limited.

1. You can do things such as Notes while talking. If I remember correctly, the only thing you cannot do is any internet browsing using Edge while talking. I could be wrong here though.

2. You'll have to be more specific. What are you needing out of the Calendar?

A note, if you find the Calendar features lacking now, you might want to give a second look after version 2.0 of the firmware is released. I have a feeling that Calendar.app will be updated to include some more features.

I want to be able to do basically the same things I can do in iCal on my desktop. Things like edit, move, delete, and update events. I was told that you can't do some of those things on iPod touch.

Yes you can edit, move, and delete events in the calender. Moving for example is not quite as easy or fast on the iPhone. It can be done, you just have to go in and change the date or time of an event, you can't just drag it like you can on your Mac.

This was a problem on the OLD iPod Touch's OS but has been solved on the new version.

If ToDos (tasks) are important to you, then you'll find the iPhone Calendar lacking.
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.
