I've got a PBg4 and it recently fell off the table onto the headphone jack on the left side. While not rendered totally useless, I cannot play audio out over the 1/8th inch jack. I was wondering, barring spending 90 bucks buying a usb device that handles audio out, if there is any way to get audio out of my powerbook in another manner.

Thanks

A USB imic should only run you about $35...
iMic

firewire options are much more expensive.

Hey are you technical at all? I repair Mac hardware all the time. Most likely the connection on the board came desoldered. If you want you can open it up and solder it back on tight, or get a friend to do it for you.
