Eric Schmidt is no longer Google CEO, but will still be involved as an advisor at Google. Very interesting move, Schmidt has had a lot of great ideas and seems to be a very bright man, but he's also been the man prosecuting such expensive failures such as Google Wave, Buzz, etc.

The Safari/iTunes merger browser rumour is a crock.
They both run on WebKit; that's it.

This is a current rumor? Crazy.
I think it would be a good move for Apple to allow iTunes Store access from Safari or any other browser, though.

So novices can go there, buy music and then wonder where it downloaded? There's a reason the iTunes store was not a web store to begin with.
I've never seen a case of web vs. native app, where the web provided a better experience, except where a native app was written to compliment an existing web site, and all of the features weren't implemented yet.
