When I signed up for .Mac I had more than one Mac computers and it was really handy to have the synchronization features. Now I am down to one, and I'm trying to figure out if there's anything that makes it worth it to keep the service another year. I have my own domain and web and email with plenty of storage space, so I don't use the .Mac email address, and like I said I don't have multiple computers to sync up. I guess it's cool to be able to use Mac homepage to upload content and stuff right from iPhoto, access my bookmarks on the web and stuff, but that is hardly $100/yr worth of service-- I'd like to know what others think..

If you don't need to sync with another computer (or use the bookmarks/idisk/etc. features on a PC at work, and you have your own domain, then you might consider letting it expire (and I'm a fan of .mac).

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.

Is there anything I can do with it on my PC besides bringing up a bookmarks window from mac.com or connecting to my iDisk?

The one thing I really do like about .Mac is its integration with iPhoto, how simple it is to publish a photo album and such.

What happens to my Apple id when .Mac expires?

I used .mac on a single machine set-up for a while. It was indispensible like for example, i left for work without my phone and my work machine doesn't have any of my personal contacts on it. I can connect to www.mac.com and view my address book which i had synced from my phone.
