Hi I just updated with software update a new security update. After installing the update, I can no longer type certain letters, I get two letters. For example if I type "g" I get "g;", "t" gives me "tp", "b" = "b\". At first I thought it had to do with the international keyboard settings. But after much playing around with it, I tried a different USB keyboard from my other computer and that works. So I can only conclude that the iMac keyboard is sending two key codes for these keys, is this possible? Has anybody have any idea how to go about fixing this? It's not all keys that are broken just a random sampling of 7 so I don't think any circuits are fried. I don't know what to do.
if you have another keyboard to test on that machine, then do you have another machien to test the keyboard on? That'll eliminate either hardware or software, i'd think.
