Rumors say that Photoshop 8 might be anounced on Monday.

Is there a chance to get the update to 8 just having ordered V7?

Any comments are helpful

Hehe, sorry about that . I just meant that they (IF they do it) will just anounce it. It probably won't ship yet. And the chance you have of your order being changed into 8.0 is quite small.

They won't change the order, but they may allow you to upgrade at a minimal price (like $20 for shipping or something) or even for free if you order your upgrade within a certain amount of time of the announcement of the next version. The software company I work for will upgrade you to the next version for $15 if you ordered/purchased your version within 30 days of us announcing a new version. Check Adobe's web site and see if they have a similar policy buried somewhere. You may have to call to find out tho'....

I believe ( i may be wrong) that there are laws against this stuff. If you buy something within 30 days (maybe 14) and something better comes out...then you are probably eligible for the new product (if it is the same price etc)

It happened to me... i got a 15gig ipod, then two weeks later 20/40gig models were released. so i gave the extra $100 for a 40gig and returned my 15.

This thing will be mine once it's released, that's for sure.
