Hi all,

I am trying to refine some of my old Excel98 (*Macintosh*) Macros. What I am
trying to accomplish while I am running Excel98 through Classic in OS/X 10.4.
11, is to record the macro so that the code gets written in a spreadsheet
using the (sorry, I don't know the name of the dialect) Macro language that
gets written in a spreadsheet.

Please advise. I'm going bald pulling my hair out!

I'm not familiar *how* Excel98 for Mac recorded the macros.

However, I'm pretty sure there is a macro editor. Why can't you just record the macro first, then go to the editor, and then cut and paste the code ?

If that's not what you want, then you might have to be more clear in your post.

I'm sure this was the same in Excel 98 as in more recent versions. You can just record your steps by starting with:

Tools...Macro...Record New Macro

from within Excel. If that's not what you want, perhaps give a bit more information as suggested by turle777. Cheers.
