Hiya.

I'm looking to purchase an iBook G3 for the road. I'm not in need of an Airport card installed, but I would like to run 10.4 on the machine. Any monitor size is fine as well; I just need a machine to do work while I'm on the road and not at my office (some small Dreamweaver work, maybe a little bit of photo editing, writing up invoices and the like).

I'd prefer a combo drive, but again, I'm not picky. In my current budget I'm able to afford around 320$ total (with shipping) and can do Paypal or check for payment. Or, if you're near Charlotte, NC, I'm willing to drive to pick it up.

The only requirements I seek are at least 256mb of RAM, at least 10gb HD, optical drive, semi-functional battery, AC adapter and that everything on the machine works.. I'm not in need of a super modified system; just something to do basic work.

Feel free to PM me and I'll give you my contact information.

Thanks much!

I have a 500 Mhz G3 Powerbook for sale. It has, 256 MB RAM, 20 GBHD, Combo DVD/CDRW, USB and Firewire. I forget do they call this a PISMO or a Wallstreet? Anyway, it is in excellent condition, battery lasts about two hours with normal use. It has 10.4 installed and I would like to get $400 shipped. That is negotiable and I am in Augusta, Georgia about 4 hours away.

Let me ask my business partner if our budget can go above 300$ (that was the number we set for this week's spending budget). If so, it sounds like a solid deal. If you like, I'll PM you my phone number.

BTW, I just determined that the Pismo actually has an Airport card in it too. This card alone sells for close to $100, so you can sell it and get your price back down to $300.

Did you ever buy anything or make a decision about this?

Yeah, I just saw this thread today. PM me if you're still in need of something.

I have an 800 MHz 12" G3 iBook available for shipment right now. (Well, once I wipe the HD and re-install the OS....) I'll post the specs if you're interested.
