I loved this Mail bundle, and it worked with the work arounds but now on my new MacBook I cannot get it to work anymore (even after the tricks I found earlier in 2005).

Does anyone has a clue as how to solve this, or install the MailEnhancer, or has another bundle / solution?

I believe that it only works on PowerPC machines.

...so if you're really desperate for it, you can do a Get Info on Mail.app and set it to open in Rosetta.
