Captain America Assassinated.

I have to admit that while I have not followed the story line in years it touched a nerve.

Thank you, Cap. God's speed.

I'm sure he'll be resurrected in the future, like Superman.

is there anyone left in comics other than Uncle Ben who, having died, hasn't come back from the dead at least once? In the past couple of years, the remaining two of The Big Three (Jason Todd and Bucky) came back; is there really only one left?

You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

I doubt they'll be resurrecting him; the article on CNN.com today about this has a quote from Joe Quesada which makes me think that this death is gonna stick.

Meanwhile, over at DC comics, they've been bumping off characters like no tomorrow in their series "52," heroes & villains alike; most if not all of those will also likely stay dead.
Life is like a clay pigeon -- sooner or later, someone is going to shoot you down and even if they miss you'll still wind up shattered and broken in the end.

He's stood toe to toe with Thanos, and it's bullets that take him out. I'm not too happy about this especially with the rumors that the Punisher might be taking on CA duties in the coming months.

Awesome issue. I'm working my way through the Civil War issues and aftermath right now. Also reading 300 and Ronin!
