Hello,
Does anyone know the original making of the airport extreme? Meaning, if it's Apple own making or more like a Belkin, Linksys, D-link or US robotics with an Apple cover?

Thank you.

All Apple, though parts were "off the shelf," such as the wireless unit inside. Apple typically doesn't "rebadge" stuff.

Apple designs the hardware around common/shared third party chipsets (Atheros, Broadcom, etc) and then outsources the manufacturing to one of the big ODMs. I don't know who does the Airport Extremes in particular, but it could be Asustek, Compal, Quanta, Inventec, Hon-Hai Precision (aka Foxconn), or any of a dozen or so other major ODMs.

The first Airport (Graphite) was based on a Lucent wireless card.
