Is anyone using the new 1.67GHz 15" Powerbook with the 128mb vram video card with the 30" Cinema Display? I'm curious as to how smoothly it handles graphics on the 30" display, especially with expose and the genie effect when minimizing and maximizing programs.

I don't have this setup (though obviously I wish I did), but your question is another instance of thinking that Apple specs things and doesn't go through with it. 128 MB is more than enough to handle those relatively simply screen effects even with the 30" display. It's part of the OS, so of course it's going to work fine.

I thought that the 30 inch display requires two dvi plugs to be powered. Can anybody else confirm this?

No, it doesn't need two dvi plugs, it needs one "dual link" dvi.
