I have upgraded to one of the Thunderbolt MBPs, so I am offering my gently used CTO MBP for sale. It has been adult owned in a non-smoking household. It has always been in its case when moved from place to place and when not in use. Here are the specs:
3.06Ghz Core2Duo CPU
17" 1920x1200 anti-glare screen 0 dead pixels, no blemishes
7200RPM 500GB HDD
4GB RAM
Applecare until June 22, 2012

This computer has been flawless, the only issue I've had was a faulty power adaptor which has been replaced by Apple. I just checked the battery via Coconut Battery and it said the battery still holds 96% of its charge and has seen 337 cycles. Also included will be a retail boxed version of Snow Leopard. I will ship the computer in its original box, and with another box outside of that. I will not pad the shipping costs, you will pay exactly what it costs me. Paypal strongly preferred, but will also accept USPS money orders. I would prefer to deal with US/Canadian buyers, but might consider other countries.Asking $1799.00USD + shipping

Pictures to follow

I have been slow to post pictures because I am loath to get rid of this excellent laptop. I must get rid of it due to financial concerns, however. Is the price too high? All reasonable offers considered!!

Pics will be posted as soon as I figure out how to link to images on my idisk!!

350+ views and no interest! What is a fair price for this MBP? I really hate Ebay, but I need to get this machine sold!

A refurb MBP 17" 2.53Ghz i5 is $1789.
I think that people in the market are for a 17" MBP are going to spend the extra $300 for the i5. (...even with the Retail Snow Leopard thrown in. Most people on a Mac forum likely have it already.)

Good luck with your sale!

all the pro's took a hard hit since the new thunderbolt machines came out. I sold my 15" i5 w/AC till 2013 for $1450 a week after the thunderbolts came out. You can get a 15" i5 for $1269+tax from the refurb store. People are starting to realize that C2D technology is from 2005 and these new processors especially the latest versions are insanely more powerful.

You have an awesome machine right there but the price is tough to justify, ebay might be your best bet.
