Did you get the icons in the folder titles with Emoji or is that a jailbreak thing?

Edit: Just answered my own question, yes its Emoji that can put icons in folder names

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Papers is great. The Desktop application is maybe the best designed on the Mac (for me). Version 2 is just out and it's proved a bit controversial as they have added lots of new features and removed some of the old functionality.

I use the iPhone version as a mobile repository of my academic paper as it syncs flawlessly with the Desktop version.

And, I try and limit when I read my e-mails, so yes, I had half-a-day's mounted up on my phone.

I haven't upgraded yet. I do like it, but I don't think it's been quite as smooth for me. The sync (especially with my iPad) is seriously useful though. I was copying crap to iBooks, which was a mess.

As for the email, pay me no mind, I was just being a jackass.

Here are my screens. Too many games that I honestly downloaded because they were free or cheap, and haven't played yet.

What's your rationale for sticking with the default Camera app and shoving everything else in a folder?

(I'm just curious, no judgement implied here. In fact, I have the same apps and do the same thing)

I don't really know. I've just gotten used to using that stock app. And for a little while Camera+ was taken off the app store for some reason, so I was using the stock app. But since Camera+ is in the app store and has been getting updates lately I will probably start using it again. But the stock camera app loads quicker, so I just use it for the quick photo.

Camera+ was taken down because they released it with a hack, Volume+, that enabled the volume buttons as a shutter release, it was taken down for the shutter button to be made software only on the screen again.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I'm similar, though I didn't pick up Camera+ until after it's rerelease.

I have to admit, I like the HDR too. Not so much for the pictures (which are just okay IME), but as a single tap to kill the flash.

I'm literally not smart enough to post pics here. I have them. I even created a Flickr account just for the purpose. Couldn't do it. Now I know how my mom feels trying to use the Facebook.

I actually don't have a Flickr account, but my understanding is that's not set-up for using easily using IMG tags, so don't beat yourself up over it. Photobucket is what I use, and is relatively painless, especially once you set it up to upload via email.

If you don't feel like going through the rigamarole, I'll host it for you (this goes for everyone). My gmail account is "hunterwumpus".

Okay. Let's try this again.

Tweetbot... The finest third-party app on my phone. The guys at Tapbots do outstanding work and Tweetbot, released just last week, is their best work to date. Spectacularly well-done.

Awesome Note... Quite possibly the prettiest iOS app. One I show off to illustrate the difference in polish between iOS apps and the janky freeware friends and coworkers are downloading onto their Android phones.

Tiny Wings... Last month's addiction.

MultiPong... The new hotness.

You Don't Know Jack... Would've been better left as a fond memory from my first days on the Mac platform. Ahh, good old OS 9. It kind of sucks as an iOS game, even on the iPad. Sucks might be strong... But maybe my taste and expectations have changed in 10 years. Who knows.

Yes, I'm that nerd paying for his coffee with his phone.

Engadget... Crashed and burned when Josh, Nilay and Paul left. I can't wait 'til they launch their new site. For now, my go-to tech guys are at This is my next.

Siri... All-but abandoned since Apple acquired them. Here's to hoping their technology is baked into iOS 5.

AccuFuel... Totally abandoned by its developer. One of only 2 apps on my iPhone not to get a Retina Display update.

eWallet... The other. At least this developer eventually provided a high-res icon.

Lots of cool looking apps to check out.

WeatherBug's icon is still jacked, and it grates on me. It's actually a bug (ha!). They redid the icon. You see it on the app store. You see it when the app is loading from the store.

Then it reverts to lo-res.
